SCAD defeats Queens (N.Y.) 13-5

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah College of Art and Design baseball team continued their offensive barrage in the Bees 13-5 victory over Queens (N.Y.) College Wednesday (March 3) evening at Historic Grayson Stadium.
The Bees won their fourth consecutive game as they scored in double figures in each contest. SCAD improved to 10-7 while the NCAA Division II Knights fell to 2-3. SCAD returns to action Saturday (March 6) when they host Shawnee State University in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Chain Field.
SCAD scored in each of the first five innings as the Bees built up a 12-3 lead. Four different batters –
Patrick Braswell,
Will Cioffi,
Kelvin Goodson and
Mike Hines - collected two hits for the Bees.
Six of the 11 hits the Bees collected went for extra bases. Braswell had two doubles, while Goodson and Yoder each had one. Cioffi and
John-Michael Crawford each had triple for SCAD. Cioffi led the Bees with 3 RBI while Braswell and Hines each drove in two.
