SCAD defeats Limestone to wrap up regular season

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Savannah College of Art and Design men's swimming team defeated Limestone College 146-114 Saturday (Feb. 6) afternoon at the Timken Center.
SCAD improved to 4-1. Up next for SCAD will be the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships Feb. 17-20 in Charlotte, N.C.
The Bees won nine of the 14 events contested in the meet.
Thomas Gibson and
Vitali Pushkar-Verbitsky each recorded two individual wins for SCAD. Gibson recorded the sweep in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.44) and the 200 breaststroke (2:12.80) while Pushkar-Verbitsky had meet-best times in the 100 backstroke (54.02) and 100 butterfly (50.77).
Chris Wilson (200 butterfly - 2:00.91),
Alex Graudins (500 freestyle - 4:38.86) and
Nat Emmett (200 individual medley - 2:01.94) also registered wins for the Bees.
